Why "Y Not Ask Watson" you ask.
For years I developed products and distribution channels through out the US, Canada and internationally and it seemed that a week did not go by without someone calling and asking me how did I do it and could I tell them how they could get their invention/product to the market. They asked me not because I was any smarter than they were, it was just that I had one thing that they didn't; I had already accomplished what they wanted to do. It was the experience I had that they wanted to learn from. And experience only comes with doing something over time, asking the right questions from the right people and learning from your mistakes. Bringing a product or service to the physical market, stuff we buy or use everyday from our local store(s) hasn't changed a whole lot since the days of the first general stores, no I wasn't around back then : ) and so when I started out there were many avenues for me to learn from. It has always been said that if you want to be successful look at what a successful person is doing and copy it. The same is true for business and so if there is a market that you want to get into, just look for a successful company, usually one that has been around more than 5 years, and see what they are doing and copy them. I know there is a lot more to it than just that and yes I will be coming out with a book and/or course on "How To Make Your Idea or Invention a Reality" in the new year but for now I wanted to have a site that people can come to and find information about a whole range of things. When I started my first full-time job I worked in the retail sporting goods trade and when ever someone came into the store and asked for something we didn't have or I didn't know about I helped them find it elsewhere. The owners probably wouldn't have liked what I was doing and the competition was sure surprised when I called, but my customers really appreciated it and from then on they always came to see me first because they knew I would help them out. I've always used this philosophy in my life and so it will be the same here on this site except we have the whole internet available to find the right information. I'll do my best to put up categories that have great information on subjects that are of interest and will soon have a place where you will be able to add information that you have to share on a particular product or service so that we can all benefit from your experience. I know I will be one of millions online but if you do happen upon this site I hope that your experience will be a good one and that you will bookmark it and come back again. And if you have something to share that others would benefit from please pass it on.
